And this is where Victoria Shamrocks and the Burnaby Lakers find themselves after an 8-5 triumph was enrolled by the Lakers on Sunday of the Western Lacrosse Association series over the Shamrocks.

The series will be determined in Burnaby in Bill Copeland Arena evening on Tuesday and is tied 3-3.

And for the second straight game, a big period is exactly what has kept the season of Burnaby alive. The Lakers scored 5 goals to rally for an 8-6 win. The Lakers scored 4 goals to match the combined output of the 2 phases, meaning Burnaby has outscored Victoria 9-1 in the third phase of the previous 2 games, last night.

The Burnaby defense and goalie Eric Penney were strong on Sunday, holding the Shamrocks during the first 2 phases to 4 goals on 26 shots. The Burnaby crime was during the first two on the rate with 4 goals on 28 shots.
